The first thing to note is the kind of garage door you have (providing it’s not an electrical one). Is it one that splits into sections as it moves up, or is it one solid piece that folds round? Once you’ve got your door rollers, the appropriate tools and a step ladder, it’s time to take the door off. To do this, raise the door up, thus removing the tension from the attached springs, and clamp it up in place. Now take off all of the cables (you may need two people for this), take off the pulley system and the springs.

From here, gently lower the door down (you should use 3+ people for this to be safe) so that it’s on the floor again. From this point, you can take the old rollers out and replace them with the new ones. To do so, just unscrew/un-attach them from their space and attach the new ones in. They’re made to be ready straight out of the box, but there’s always a set of instructions with them in case you get stuck.
